Colon Cancer
Why screening matters and when people at average risk should start.
Screening saves lives
Colon cancer is one of the deadliest cancers, yet it can often be found early through regular screening.
Medical organisations do not all agree on when screening should start for people at average risk with no family history. Some recommend starting at age 45, while others recommend 50.
If you have a family history of colorectal cancer or other health issues that raise your risk, you may need to start earlier. Talk to your doctor about the right screening plan for you; our gastroenterology and endoscopy team is here to help.
